A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE FARM ....
- We consider herd health very important to this end we are currently
tissue tagging for BVD,
the herd is BVD and IBR vaccinated, we are
in a 4 yr TB area,
tests for Johnes and
are members of the
SAC Premium Herd Health Scheme.
- The herd was established in 2002 when we restocked post Foot and Mouth and were looking for a durable hard working breed which would milk well on the hard farm, we are are capacity with 100 head averaging over 8000kg rolling average at 4.33% fat and 3.39% protein.
- For us the Montbeliarde breed offers a milky cow, with the added benefit of cull cow value and bull calves rear on well.
- We welcome visitors at any time
and usually have both male and female breeding stock for sale.
